With EUCLID 3 Matra Datavision offers an industry-proven product family especially indicated for the design and manufacture of complex models and assemblies. Together with globally improved quality and a double-precision database, EUCLID 3 Version 2 brings over 300 enhancements, particularly in the automatic creation of 2D drawings from 3D models, in milling cycles, in 2- to 4-axis wire cutting, in sheet metal design, and in mold design. Concurrent Engineering Base
This module includes all the utilities necessary to manage the EUCLID 3 database, as well as a minimum set of functions for interactive access, creating basic lines, and consulting and managing objects from the database or from another system. 3D database objects (except for drawings) can thus be visualized, measured, and modified.
EUCLID 3 License Upgrade from VMS or Unix to Windows NT

IMSPOST is a complete software environment for developing general postprocessors. It may be used to modify existing library or custom postprocessors, or to create complete, new postprocessors. Type3 is a universal solution for 3D engraving, and is a powerful tool for automatically engraving even the most complex artwork directly in the mold. Connectivity modules are divided into two categories: standard and advanced. The STANDARD CONNECTIVITY module is automatically included in all Migration Packages. On top of this module, Matra Datavision offers additional tools specifically designed to refine and customize data transfer. The first of these is the ADVANCED SURFACE REPAIR module.
The STANDARD CONNECTIVITY module allows data transfer between the EUCLID 3 and CATIA V4 environments. At minimum, this connectivity allows transfer of EUCLID 3 data to the CATIA V4 environment and reuse of this data under CATIA V4.
The STANDARD CONNECTIVITY module uses BReps to handle surface data.
Advanced Surface Repair
The ADVANCED SURFACE REPAIR module uses BReps for the transfer of data between the EUCLID 3 and CATIA environments. In addition, the module allows processing and correction of the surface model data through surface healing, repair of faces and optimization of degree. Copy/Paste between EUCLID 3 and CATIA V4 and automatic processing in batch mode are possible.
